Over one billion pounds worth of medication is incinerated in the UK every year. In light of these facts, the Department of Health asked Define to conduct research that specifically looked into the effect of pricing information on medicine labels

Folic acid fortification

On 17 May 2007, the Food Standards Agency Board agreed unanimously that ‘mandatory fortification’ with folic acid should be introduced, alongside controls on voluntary fortification and advice on the use of supplements.

This research sought to understand any barriers that exist to young people getting involved with alcohol or that exist in relation to stopping drinking and to understand what influenced a non-drinking attitude.
